SHERLOCK HOLMES MUSEUM



The Sherlock Holmes Museum it’s situated in the 221b, Baker Street, in London. It was builded in the 19th century. The building recreates the life of detective Sherlock Holmes, and the interior has been faithfully maintained for
posterity exactly as described in the published stories of this detective, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Sherlock Holmes and Doctor John H. Watson
lived at 221b Baker Street between 1881-1904, according to the stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The house was last used as a lodging house in 1936 and the famous 1st floor study overlooking Baker Street is still faithfully maintained as it was kept in Victorian Times.

Visitors can sit in the armchair to pose for photos in his study, and enter in his bedroom, when there are his possessions. And, in the shop you can buy souvenirs and Sherlock Holmes books.

The museum is open every day of the year (except Christmas Day) from 9:30am-6pm.

MADAME TUSSAUDS


Madame Tussauds London is a major tourist attraction located in Central London. It is famous for recreating famous people, or celebrities, in wax. It is the original Madame Tussauds attraction, having been situated on Marylebone Road since 1884. It was set up by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. It is operated by Merlin Entertainments.

Off-peak opening times are generally 9:30am to 5:30pm. Off-peak periods are weekdays and non UK school holidays. Peak opening times are 9am to 6pm. Peak opening times are weekends, UK school holidays, bank holidays and the whole of the summer period (July through August).

The most important zones in the Madame Tussauds are:
-A-List Party: Samuel L Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Leo DiCaprio, Nicole Kidman and David and Victoria Beckham.
-High School Musical & Hannah Montana
-Sports: Tiger Woods, Mohammed Alí and Lance Armstrong
-Music: Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Amy Winehouse, Tom Jones, Bob Marley, Justin Timberlake, Freddie Mercury and The Beatles
